Every Spring, Working Theater hosts a gala event honoring a few extraordinary New Yorkers for bridging the gap between the arts, labor and community. This inspiring evening consists of a cocktail reception, live entertainment, dinner and a ceremony honoring those individuals whose work embodies the values and mission of Working Theater.

The 2019 Annual Awards Ceremony raised money to support Working Theater’s 34th Season, which includes the development and production of several new plays for and about working people as part of our Five Boroughs/One City Initiative, our TheaterWorks! adult education program which teaches working New Yorkers (including members of PSC, SEIU32BJ and  CWA Local 1180) to write and perform in their own short plays, and our mainstage off-Broadway world premiere of “Dropping Gumballs on Luke Wilson” by Rob Ackerman, directed by Theresa Rebeck!  Thank you for supporting Working Theater’s ongoing efforts to serve the working people of New York.
