In our 38th Season, we intentionally focused on programming that created more opportunities to engage in communities across the five boroughs.

You can see it in the exciting voices coming out of the Mark Plesent Commission Fund, our first open-access TheaterWorks! playwriting & performances classes, and our off-Broadway world premiere co-production with Page 73 of Bleu Beckford-Burrel’s La Race, directed by Taylor Reynolds, which the NY Times called “a love letter to the very idea of a neighborhood.”

Our season centered community by meeting people where they work to make theater a part of their everyday lives.

As we approach yet another time of transition and evolution for the organization, we need your support now more than ever. Please consider renewing or increasing your annual contribution to Working Theater and helping us meet our year-end goal of $40,000. We are so grateful for your steadfast support of our mission. Thank you for helping us make theater work for people who work!
